The School’s and District Systems Division began groundwork in the effort to build the capacity of districts through the roll out of the Integrated District Improvement Programme (IDIP) in 38 districts across four provinces.
IDIP is a national district development programme which aims to serve as a unifying framework for district development and support initiatives, thereby ensuring coherence and alignment with district plans and strategies.
The district workshops across the four provinces (Limpopo, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Eastern Cape & Northern Cape) focussed on the development of mathematics and language plans for each district.
The workshops provided a conducive platform for collaboration among national provincial and district officials on the alignment district plans.
